Die Alp Grat befindet sich direkt am Wanderweg zum Surenenpass. Oberhalb von Attinghausen und Brüsti liegt sie auf 1890 m ü. M. Die Alp Grat dient als Oberstafel und beheimatet einen Alpbetrieb. Mitte Juli zieht der Älpler mit seinen Kühen und etwas Jungvieh vom Unterstafel Seewli-Heiterboden auf die Alp Grat und bleibt dort bis Ende August.
Als Grat wird jeweils ein länglicher, schmaler Bergrücken bezeichnet. Der Name ist treffend für die Alp. Auf der Alp Grat stellt die Älplerfamilie Alpkäse her. Einen Teil der Produktion verkauft der Älpler direkt auf der Alp. Der Rest geht an Privatkunden.
Die Seele baumeln lassen? Herunterfahren? Mitten in der Urner Alpwelt die Natur geniessen? Zwischenstopp auf der Surenenwanderung? Tagesausflug? Oder einfach so?
Aus derKüche zaubern René und Monika Herger hausgemachte Speisen, ein herzhaftes Plättli oder Gebäck. Versuchen Sie die feine Käseschnitte nach Bernadettes´ Rezept.
Übrigens: Der würzige Alpkäse verkauft der VOLG in Attinghausen oder er kann direkt ab Hof bezogen werden.
Der Alpbetrieb verfügt über 24 bequeme Betten (3 Räume mit je 8 Betten). Ein grosszügiger Aufenthaltsraum mit eigener Küche bietet Platz, sollte das Wetter ausnahmsweise nicht nicht so gut sein.
Eine Übernachtung kostet mit Halbpension für CHF 48.- pro Person an. Ein herzhaftes Nachtessen, eine unvergessliche Nacht in den Urner Alpen und ein vielfältiges Morgenessen sind darin enthalten.
