Am rechten Hang des Grosstals und unterhalb des Sassigrats liegt am Weg zum Urirotstock die Alp Biwald. Ihr Weidegebiet liegt zwischen 1500 und 2000 m ü. M.
Der Älplerfamilie dient Biwald als Hauptstafel. Sie sömmert zirka 20 Kühe, ein paar Rinder und einige Zwergziegen.
Die Milch wird zu Alp- und Spezialkäse, Joghurt, Molke und Butter weiterverarbeitet und kann auch am Urner Alpkäsemarkt erworben werden.
