Hiking in Zschepplin

This circular route is one of four themed trails inviting you to explore the Flora-Fauna Habitat area "Vereinigte Mulde & Muldeauen" and the bird protection area "Vereinigte Mulde."

Discover romantic river landscapes with unique flora and fauna and cultural and historical treasures along the Mulde Valley hiking trail.

The Muldental hiking trail along the Zwickauer Mulde mostly runs along the bank of the Mulde and offers beautiful views of the landscape of the Zwickauer Mulde.

The hike runs through the Mulde floodplain, along long stretches of the Mulde River, over meadow paths, and through small idyllic villages. The hiker is rewarded upon arrival by the beautiful Protestant parish church in Löbnitz, where you can find the largest and most extensive biblical ceiling painting in Germany.

On the Muldental hiking trail along the Freiberger Mulde from Nossen to Bad Düben, nature and cultural-historical sights, narrowness and spaciousness, typical floodplain landscapes and wetlands as well as flora and fauna alternate continuously over nine stages.

Approx. 7 km enjoyable walk with plenty to discover for both dog and human. Mainly field and hiking paths make the route a joint-friendly nature experience.
