The fourth stage Castelmonte – Masarolis is 26.5 kilometers long, from the Sanctuary of Castelmonte you descend along a beautiful panoramic road to the village of Purgessimo to reach after about two kilometers the town of Cividale, the ancient Forum Julii founded in the 1st century BC by the Romans.

The fifth stage, Masarolis - Montemaggiore, travels a road of varying elevation gain along the Colli del Friuli Orientale 24 1/2 kilometers long.
