Hiking in Préizerdaul

Small ponds, mulch paths, a brook that winds through the legendary „Schankegriecht“, many small wooden bridges, natural silence … Perfect for relaxing and recharging your energy!

This beautiful walk always follows the edge of the forest, mostly on soft forest paths, over many bridges and some stairs. It is about 5 km long. Legends about the "Schankemännchen" revolve around the northern section of the path: For example, "In the large thicket near Reimberg is the Schankegriècht, through which a little spring water trickles. Several footpaths wind through it, and the path from Schandel to Großbus also runs very close by. In this Griècht, as is commonly told in the evening, some say the skeleton of a horse trots around, others that of a man. Others again say that ear-piercing music, often heard in this forested area, has already frightened many with a panic shock."
