Torriglia is a summer holiday destination favored by the people of Genoa. It lies in a wide basin facing south, at the foot of the pyramidal Monte Prelà. From this basin originates the Scrivia Stream, while a little to the east are also the springs of the Trebbia. The village is overlooked by the ruins of the Doria-Fieschi castle, located on a hill. (800 m).
It is a not very strenuous route, shared with a section of the Via del Mare. Following the undulating watershed between Scrivia and Trebbia, one reaches the summit of Monte Lavagnola, which overlooks the upper Val Fontanabuona, and from here, following the ridge, one arrives at Scoffera.
