Hiking in Le Châtelard

Varied and demanding trekking route, ideal for a sporty long weekend. The route mostly follows the GR96 (GR = Grande Randonnée, official long-distance hiking trail in France) and leads through sparsely populated green valleys, colorful flower meadows, open forests, and also offers the opportunity to climb two beautiful lookout summits. The view of the Mont Blanc massif is a constant companion.

This 77km long tour takes you through the PRN of the Bauges Massif, through deep canyons, beautiful forests, and passes with great views.

A few kilometers from the commune of Châtelard in the Bauges, this easy hike takes us to discover the Pissieu waterfall. After passing through wooded areas and a short round trip to the waterfall, the route will offer us beautiful views of some peaks of the Bauges massif.
