The Via Podiensis, as one of the four historic pilgrimage routes in France, passes through the regions of Auvergne, Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées, and Aquitaine.

The Via Podiensis starts in Le Puy-En-Velay and leads us to St. Jean Pied de Port. It corresponds to the long-distance hiking trail 65 and is marked with the shell symbol and red-white bars.
