Hiking in Courcelles

I leave Charleroi with a light heart and hope that the upcoming towns will radiate a bit more positive energy.....

Nice 15 km walk. Leave Godarville through a small wood overlooking the Canal du Centre. At the edge of the wood, head towards the hamlet of La Fléchère. After passing through fields on agricultural paths, you will reach Seneffe by passing in front of its castle and walking along its long avenue with a view of the beautiful church of Seneffe. The return to Godarville will be via the old canal, then uphill in the wood beside the entrance to the boat tunnel, above which you will see the tunnel's ventilation chimney, a relic from the past. The return to the village will be shared with other routes via the redeveloped 2024 estate and Simone Veil Park.

This beautiful 20 km route will take you through fields, country roads, small roads, and woods.Starting from Godarville, you will make a nice loop via Seneffe, Pont-à-celles, Gouy-lez-Pieton, and back to Godarville.We have tried to find a good balance for you between well passable roads and also more delicate forest paths.

Nice 15 km walk, in a loop, passing through woods, country paths, more passable roads, and towpaths. This hike will take you from Godarville, via Seneffe, Pont-à-Celles, and Gouy-lez-Pieton, and back to Godarville

19.8 km walk that will take you from Godarville, via Gouy-lez-Pieton and Seneffe, to the old Charleroi-Brussels canal.  You will leave the village by the cemetery and the nature reserve. Then you will head towards "le Buisseret" and go up towards the new wind farm. From there, through fields and woods, you will head to the village of Gouy-lez-Pieton via its St Martin church and its small park. You will then set off towards Seneffe via agricultural paths. Return via the Bomerée wood towards Godarville along the old canal for boats and the boat tunnel. Return to the village via the housing estate, its playground and the Simone Veil park. Some parts of the route are shared with the 15 km one.

10 Km route through rural paths, woods, towpaths, ravel. Muddy conditions due to the weather conditions of recent weeks, particularly in the Bois de la Bomerée. Route of medium difficulty. Description below. Enjoy your walk!!

Beautiful route starting from Godarville, via the Marlette Nautical Center in Seneffe, the old Canal du Centre, the small village of Rossegnies, returning to Godarville through the Hamlet of Bois des Nauwes across the fields.
