Hiking in Anglès

The Via Tolosana is one of the four major French pilgrimage routes to Santiago and is considered the wildest and most adventurous of the four routes.

This hike takes us from Arles in France to the Pyrenean pass "Col du Somport." The Via Tolosana is also called "chemin d'Arles" in France.

Corridors of open pastures carved into the forest canopy; massive farms on the edges, superb tall beeches in high forest or along the paths; and everywhere, the compact mass of spruce trees... The Anglès plateau asserts its mountainous character.

Lake Raviège (410 ha) stretches for 12 kilometers in length. It straddles the departments of Tarn and Hérault.
