From Mühlhausen to Affing Castle The former water castle was rebuilt in its original form from 1684 after a fire in 1928. Baron Karl Ernst von Gravenreuth, who was the regional president in Augsburg, acquired the Affing manor estate with the castle in 1816. With its castle park featuring magnificent old trees in the English style from the 19th century, it is still privately owned by the noble family and therefore cannot be visited. A popular Christmas market takes place annually on the estate grounds, which was awarded "the most beautiful in Bavaria" in 2004.

Before Corona times, there was a place to stop in Obergriesbach. Maybe this will be available again soon.
