The hike partially follows the "Wine and Nature Trail Palmberg" dream loop, partially because the first part was already very strenuous and therefore the northern "tip" between km 2.2 and 4.5 was omitted, and in the otherwise very beautiful creek section the path goes through the creek without any possibility to cross the creek dry-footed (see photo 32). On the right bank, the path finally ends on the road, which was then followed. The "dream loop" therefore leaves a mixed impression: interesting explanatory boards, wonderful views, wild, partly rocky and steep paths, on the other hand very strenuous, quite a lot of paved vineyard paths and an interrupted route, which makes it rather a "nightmare loop".

Walk on quiet roads and forest tracks, climbing up through vineyards before entering mixed forest and descending again to the Moselle. Close encounters with wildlife are certainly possible in the extensive forest, while the production of wine is clearly evident. This walk is a perfect distance for those with sufficient energy to walk for 3 hours or so.

Heute in empfohlener Richtung gewandert.
