    Wunderschöne kurze Tour, die sich bequem und einfach in 3 Stunden erwandern lässt. Keine Steigungen, wäre also auch gut mit Kindern zu gehen. Die Wege sind sehr gepflegt und top ausgeschildert mit vielen km-Angaben. Auch gibt es zahlreiche schöne Rastmöglichkeiten. Die Tour ist absolut ruhig gelegen ohne Verkehrslärm. In Ellscheid gibt es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten. Hat mir sehr gut gefallen!

    Schöne und einfache Runde auf überwiegend breiten Wald- und Feldwegen. Höhepunkt für mich war das Naturschutzgebiet Mürmes mit einer Vielzahl von Vogelarten, Insekten und anderen Tieren. Auch sonst bietet der Weg immer wieder schöne Aussicht und viele Rastmöglichkeiten. Da längere Abschnitte über asphaltierte Wege und durch offenes Gelände führen, ist die Wanderung eher für kühlere Tage zu empfehlen.

    Heute bei 18 Grad und purem Sonnenschein erwandert. Sehr schöne, abwechslungsreiche und einfache Wanderstrecke. Der Weg befindet sich in einem tadellosen und sehr gepflegtem Zustand, Lob hier an die Wegepaten. Wir würden diese Strecke allen ans Herz legen, die die ersten Frühlings-Sonnenstrahlen in der Natur erleben möchten. Hier ist der Wald noch Wald, der Bach wurde renaturiert und auch sonst gibt es sehr viel Fauna und Flora zu erkunden. Die ausreichenden Rast- und Ruhemöglichkeiten sind an den exponiertesten Plätzen sehr gut eingesetzt worden und laden zum Verweilen ein. Wieder mal ein toller Tag in der Vulkaneifel!

    Ich bin den kompletten Weg Maare Thermen Weg in zwei Tagen von Ulmen (Busbahnhof) nach Bad Bertich Anfang August gegangen. Ich komme aus Bonn und bin mit Öffis (Zug und Bus) angereist. Übernachtet habe ich auf halber Strecke in Lutzerath im Hotel Maas. Hier nun meine Bewertung und Hinweise: Es begann zunächst nicht gut, denn der Weg der aus Ulmen herausführt ist zunächst eine öde Aspahltpiste (ca 2-3 km) und insofern keine gute Einstimmung auf diesen wirklichschönen Weg. Am Waldrand auf der Höhe wurde er dann endlich naturnaher, und so blieb er dann auch. Im weiteren Verlauf vermied der Weg Asphaltstrecken (bis auf Dorfdurchquerungen). Der Weg zeigte sich durchweg abwechslungsreich. Mal breite Walwege, mal enge Pfade, stets eine gute Wegqualität; schöne Aussichten (besonders von der Achterhöhe), meistens moderate Anstiege (bis auf zwei drei Ausnahmen). Die begleitenden Hinweise (Tafeln am Wegesrand) auf Region und Besonderheiten (zB Vulkanismus in Wolperath, oder das Kerbholz) sind lehrreich und interessant. Das Hotel auf halber Strecke war empfehlenswert. Insgesamt kann ich den Weg sehr empfehlen. Die angegebenen 35 km gesamt stimmen nicht. Es sind rund 38 km bis Bertrich. Am Wegende ist die Bushaltestelle zum Bus nach Bullay (einmal stündlich), dort Zug. Übrigens habe ich unterwegs ( ich ging Montag und Dienstag) keine Menschenseele auf dem Weg getroffen. Schade! denn der Weg ist aus meiner Sicht (ich bin Vielwanderer) recht empfehlenswert. Abschließend ein megagroßes Lob an die Wegepaten: die Beschilderung ist sensationell gut! Verlaufen eigentlich unmöglich. Wer Fragen hat kann mich gerne anschreiben. Tschüss.
