Crossing the Benediktenwand with overnight stay at the Probstalm (self-catering). The route from Benediktbeuern to Lenggries works ideally with public transport. I was on the way with a real expert for long-distance hikes: Michael Reimer describes 40 such routes in a book - including this classic.

This hike leads from Bad Tölz to Buchberg, the small and quiet neighbor of Blomberg. A sporty city walk with everything that belongs to a small mountain route: summit cross, bench for resting, and a great panoramic view of the Alpine foothills, which on particularly clear days extends to Munich.

This hike combines the urban flair of Bad Tölz with the rural surroundings of the town. Although you never walk far from the city center, a rural and natural landscape of meadows, small forests, and magnificent farms dominates. Combined with a stop at the Landgasthof Fischbach, this is a perfect mix between walking paths and dining experiences, just as we love our "Tölzer Wege".

The unmarked short route starts rather boringly on a forest road, but then it gradually gets more exciting and offers great views. To enjoy the tour, climbing skills at grade I as well as alpine experience in steeper terrain/cirque are necessary at certain points.

Aufstieg sehr angenehm. Ein Abstecher zum Zwiesel lohnt sich. Als Alternative bergab mit dem Sessellift (9,- €). Parkgebühr übrigens inzwischen 5,-€.
