Gorge hike through a piece of ancient industrial historyPaper and textile production has played an important role in the hinterland of the Costa Blanca since the 16th century. Along the "Ruta dels Molins" are the remains of mills and factories where fabrics were milled for the production of textiles and paper in the 18th and 19th centuries. Panels explain their history and how they worked, also in English and with sketches. The path through the Barranc d'Ontinyent (also known as dels Tarongers, the orange growers' ravine; the origin of the name is unclear) was once the most important link between the small medieval town of Bocairent and Ontinyent (both in the province of Valencia).

    Great walk with plenty to see & a good variety of trails. The waterfalls are nice and the vegetation is lush in November and all the fruits trees Laden with fruit. Some easy slight scrambles.

    traumhaft! Eine wundervolle Tour, die wirklich abwechslungsreich ist. Viele der schönen Stellen, kann man aber auch gut mit dem Auto erreichen. Daher ist es schnell mal überlaufen. Stellenweise geht es steil bergauf, aber man wird sehr schnell belohnt! Ein großer toller Wasserfall, eine kleine "bade Landschaft" und ein See. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Wir haben für die Strecke 5 Stunden gebraucht, aber vor allen weil man überall Pause machen möchte :)
