> In Täferrot, we turn left fromParking Lot 01 onto Leinzeller Straße, heading toward "Utzstetten." After a few minutes, the "Utzstetten blue dot" sign leads us sharply left and uphill into the forest. At the top of the villageof Utzstetten02, we keep to the right at the transformer station. On the main road, we turn right “toward Eschach” and, after a few meters, turn left again onto the plateau. At the next intersection, turn right and stay on the small paved road until you reach the house that’s already visible. Now take the dirt path to the left past the house and into the forest. Then keep left on the forest road that crosses it, and later turn left again. At the next trail junction, we leave our Blaupunkt trail markers and continue straight ahead “toward Vellbach.” We are now near the “Hohlen Stein,” also known as the “Götzenloch.” A detour leads about 100 m down to the right, then left to this small cave. At the end of the cave, which is now about 4 m deep, a small spring emerges; it erodes the soft sandstone and is thus responsible for the cave’s formation. At the next intersection, we hike up to the left, out of the forest. We pass through a wind farm with five wind turbines, continuing straight ahead onto the plateau. Here we have sweeping views; on the horizon to the left, we see the “Drei Kaiserberge” (Three Emperor Mountains) of the Ostalb: Hohenstaufen (the Staufer family’s ancestral castle), Rechberg, and Stuifen. We pass between Wassertum and the riding stable on our way toRuppertshofen03. On the main road, we keep to the right, pass the town hall, and later hike downhill “toward Hönig.” InHönig04, we turn left immediately at the main road and now follow the blue dot, which leads us out of the village and up the road. At the top, we turn left as marked and follow a dirt path to a beautiful crucifix with a bench. After a short rest, we keep to the left; immediately afterward, our trail marker leads us to the right, passing under a pasture fence. We descend a few meters along a forest path to the stream; once across, we turn right immediately and after 20 meters turn left uphill onto the forest road. There, we first turn right and soon after left, following a forest trail uphill to the edge of the woods. Now we continue to the left as marked, past a barn, then left again at a hunting blind, and our path leads us to Tanau. We walk past the Romanesque St. Anna Church on the right, then turn left and shortly afterward right again. First along the edge of the forest, then across an open plateau with scenic views, we reachDurlangen05. At the entrance to the town, turn left onto the through road, then left again later “toward the reservoir.” Here we leave the Blaupunkt trail markers and go straight ahead, then turn left again “toward the reservoir.” At the campground by the Rehnenmühle Reservoir, we can stop for a bite to eat at theRehnenmühle06 restaurant or take a break at one of the barbecue areas. From the restaurant, we continue down the forest path, turn left before the small bridge, and walk through a beautiful forest, always following the Rot River; after some time, we reach our starting point inTäferrot01.

Kaum Menschen... einfach herrlich!!!
