Today's tour started in the north of Spa and initially leads over narrow forest paths, which are also integrated into a fitness trail with appropriate training equipment. Then it goes down into the valley and along some streams. The paths of the tour are a good mix of narrow forest paths, trails, small climbing sections, but mostly easily walkable forest paths. I would definitely recommend support using a hiking app, as some sections of the paths are not marked and currently covered with leaves. Sometimes hiking is like music: a completely unexpected new song suddenly appears and immediately takes the number 1 spot on the charts.
That's exactly how it went for me today in Spa. I planned the route last night and wasn't quite sure what to expect in the end.
What emerged was an incredible hike that surpassed everything I had known in this region so far.
The experiences could easily fill 2 routes, making this a new favorite among my hikes in the region.
Pristine valleys, hardly anything but paths, kilometer-long boardwalks through the Venn, and constantly new impressions.
If you have the chance to do the route in the October weeks, you will also enjoy the wonderful autumnal color play in the beech forests.
Take your time and enjoy it, because this route will enchant and inspire you, promised!

Today's tour was a slightly shortened version of the 20 km loop, which still includes a longer section over the boardwalks in the Venn. Like the longer route, this tour also includes many paths and several very pristine valleys. The experience factor is therefore very high and, especially in the winter landscape, is not diminished by 2 forest and a short road section.
