The path is dedicated to escape andthe liberation of 96 British warsprisoners from the STALAG XVIII campD in Maribor. The event is uniquein the history of II. world war due crowds of liberated allies.The escape was organized by prisoners of war Ralph F. Churches - Crow from Australia and Les Laws of England. To the Krupa Spring—A Beautiful Hike Along the Krupa Stream

> From the parking lot at Krupa01, the “Izvir Krupe” signpost shows us which direction to hike. The trail slopes gently downward, and we follow the stream right up to its source. The sight of the 30-meter-high cliff and the water gushing from beneath it is fascinating. The trail is not marked with the classic red circles, but only with signposts. From the spring, we follow the stream to a suspension bridge. We cross the stream to the right bank. This is followed by the only real climb up to a meadow where a model02 of the Krupa stream can be seen. From this model, we return to the stream and hike along its right bank. After about 1 km, we reach the Krupa03 castle ruins. The castle stood on a hill on the right bank; a trail branch leads us uphill to the right. After exploring the ruins, we return to the stream and cross it via a concrete bridge. We then hike along the left bank and ascend to the forest outside the canyon. This brings us to the Judovska hiša Cave04, where the remains of an early human were discovered. From there, the trail continues above the canyon to the next point of interest, the small Vodenica Spring05 with a small grotto. Then the trail makes a long switchback and climbs out of the canyon again. We return to the Judovska hiša Grotto04 via the same path. From there, we can return above the stream and along the meadows and forests through the village of Moverna vas to the starting point in Krupa01. On this section of the trail, you can admire the beautiful landscape of Bela Krajina.
