However, from the terrace, as well as from Monte Grai above, you can enjoy sensational views that make you forget the often hot ascent.

Hiking in the WallMountain enthusiasts who are not deterred by the dangers of a strenuous mountain tour with very exposed sections will fully enjoy the steep cliff trail Sentiero degli Alpini, which is only partially secured with steel cables: Above them are vertical or overhanging high rock walls, next to them the abyss – sensational impressions guaranteed! This rock path (DAV/CAS difficulty level T3) would be more expected in the Dolomites than in Liguria. Therefore, this tour should remain reserved for alpine-experienced hikers.

Col de Diable (2430m) This is your last pass above 2000 m. It is named "Pass of the Devil", because for centuries nobody dared to pass it to the Vallée. After this col the landscape will change dramatically. From here on until Monaco no water to be found, so take plenty with you. A little after the Redoute you will come below 2000m. Camp d'Argent (1800m) The Gite is the only place to stay, but it is pleasant. They have dorms and a campsite.
