Hike carried out on 02.09.2023 within the framework of the sports event NORD-MARSCH 7th CHAUKEN-MARSCH Oldenburg 110km. Route was created from my GPS recording. Also a contribution to the Ultramarsch quarterly challenge "Screw the wings I'm going on foot" 1500km "Just Hike" in the quarter. For this Nord-Marsch route, 110km must be walked within a maximum of 27.5 hours from the start time. The circular route, very nicely planned, begins/ends at the former air base near Oldenburg. The route leads through the beautiful Oldenburg region, structured in several laps with common intersections - mostly about 15km length. You walk through varied environments on well-passable paths. It goes through towns (including Bad Zwischenahn, Wiefelstede, Rastede), small forest areas, and wide agricultural surroundings. The Zwischenahner Meer is almost completely circled. After approximately 110 kilometers walked, the route ends again on the grounds of the former air base near Oldenburg.

An idyllic circular hiking trail with start and finish at the Wemkendorfer Krug. The path leads in small parts along little-traveled asphalt roads but mostly on sandy paths through the landscape. A highlight of the tour is the OOWV's drinking water educational trail. The hiking trail is marked with a white W on a black background!

The Grand Dukes of Oldenburg expanded their Rastede summer residence over more than 130 years to an area of over 300 hectares. This hiking trail goes through a small part of this large area, past ponds, along winding paths and spacious meadows, and repeatedly offers sightlines extending far into the surrounding countryside, inspired by English park designs.
