From Tržič via Dom pod StoržičemExciting paths to a proud mountain Storžič stands as an elegant, symmetrical pyramid high above the Carniola region – a beautiful mountain with magnificent views. It's no surprise that paths lead up to it from all sides, and on beautiful weekends, seats at the small summit can become scarce. The southern side of Storžič is famous for its rich flora, while the northern side is known for its exciting rock routes. However, the northern side has even more advantages: a high starting point and a talented cook at the Storžič House – her Sirovi štrukelj, a type of curd strudel, is legendary! Two ascents lead to the summit from the north: the very steep, partially secured route over the gorge ("Žrelo") and the subsequent magnificent west ridge, as well as the normal path over the elongated ridge "Škarjev rob".
