Eixendorfer Seeweg The circular route starts above the reservoir bridge at the hiking car park. We go to the bridge and descend via a staircase. There we turn left and start on a meadow path. Past a bathing beach, it doesn’t take long before the meadow path becomes a forest path and later a trail. This is really spectacular, it always runs along the shore, sometimes flat and sometimes quite steep over it. That’s a lot of fun. At the end of the Eixendorf reservoir, we cross a bridge over the Schwarzach and via the Wutz loop, we reach the old Neunburg - Rötz railway line. We then follow this for the next few kilometers. Below Gütenland, it continues on a nice path and trail again. This way, we circle the Eixendorf reservoir and soon reach the reservoir bridge again. Anyone wanting to shorten the route can return via the bridge to the hiking car park, saving about 2 km. We continue following the path and soon reach the dam; from here, it goes uphill again and after some time, we stand back at the starting point of our hike.  A really great hike around the lake, especially the trail on the north side is really spectacular!
