The Nordwaldkammweg is a technically easy hiking trail on the northern ridge of the Mühlviertel, covering marked paths in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, and offering around 14 days of hiking enjoyment. This final day stage concludes with the Schwarzenberg Rafting Canal before ascending to the Plöckensteinersee, from where you can already see the next destination, the Stifter monument. After this extremely steep climb, the route offers beautiful viewpoints to the Plöckenstein and then follows the ridge to the Dreisesselberg.

    Die Wanderung haben wir mit einer Runde um den See kombiniert (+ca. 4km). Es hat uns besonders auf dem Höhenweg sehr gut gefallen, die Aussicht ist phantastisch. Auch das Dreiländereck ist ein besonderer Punkt. Hier wird es schnell heiß, und bei Gewitterneigung ist man direkt mittendrin. Als leicht würde ich die Tour wegen der steinigen Wege und dem An/Abstieg nicht unbedingt bezeichnen. Aber lohnend!

    Sehr schöne ruhige Tour durch die herrlichen Šumavá. Am besten von Volary um 6. 35 Uhr mit dem Zug nach Ovesna, im Morgengrauen den Pfad wandern und dann ab 11.35 Uhr mit dem Zug ab Černý Kříž zurück nach Volary.

    Großartige Tour. Aber Ausdauer gefragt. Am Tag unserer Tour war es vorher sehr regnerisch, daher waren viele Abschnitte sehr nass und rutschig. Ein Traum diese Tour sollte man gemacht haben wenn man im Nationalpark bayrischer Wald ist.

    Der erste Teil übers Steinerne Meer ist was für geübte Wanderer. An einigen Stellen war es ein wenig knifflig aber unser Junior mit 8 Jahren und unsere Hündin haben es ohne Probleme geschafft. Der Ausblick ist überwältigend und man kann sich gar nicht genug satt sehen. Der Rückweg über den Kamm war tatsächlich ein Spaziergang. Fröhlich beschwingt hüpfte Junior von Deutschland und nach Tschechien.
