Loop route on extremely varied terrain, with two challenging climbs at Maddalena and Dragoncello, and a final effort towards the end at Monte Fieno with a convenient return to Botticino a few kilometers on asphalt from the start.
Almost throughout the route it is possible to reach roads or houses within a couple of kilometers of trails, the exception being Monte Dragoncello, which is definitely more isolated.
Very peaceful and interesting in terms of wildlife is the central part of the route on Monte Dragoncello, where I encountered a large green lizard (see photo), many lizards and a couple of common grass snakes, as well as hearing the call of some ungulates. In the autumn season, it is possible to find many different flowers especially in the area just beyond Maddalena, but it is also pleasant to walk through the soft undergrowth surrounded by colorful foliage.
All the trails to take are easy to identify (as of September 2021). I recommend keeping the voice of the navigator activated to avoid missing some important turns; particularly easy to miss is a trail change downhill in the Dragoncello woods, the turn before the fence after Monte Paina and the somewhat neglected trail on the left after the Gazzolo Vineyards.
