The location of Nauders in the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Switzerland means that you can quickly visit one of the neighboring countries for a hike. One of the most popular destinations in the region is undoubtedly Lake Reschen, which is already located in South Tyrol. To build the reservoir, villages were relocated and the valley flooded. This created one of the landmarks of the Vinschgau Valley, the church tower rising out of the water.
If you want to walk around the entire lake, you can do so on foot or by bike. Depending on your walking speed, you should plan around four hours for the 15 km hike. The route always runs along the shore of the largest lake in South Tyrol.
