In Munich, beautiful green spaces like the English Garden or the Olympic Park invite you to take leisurely strolls. Munich is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and has so much more to offer. The true treasures of Munich are the diversity and authenticity of its established neighborhoods, with their different architecture, lively culture, and tradition. Each district has its own unique character, connected by a green belt of Isar meadows and extensive parks – this gives Munich its special flair.
The hiking trail from Garching to Oberfoehring along the Isar combines the love of nature, climate and city!

Simple circular route for families and nature lovers that starts and ends at Puchheim S-Bahn station. The path leads through one of the most beautiful avenues in the district. Two Kneipp facilities and a playground are located along the route. The destination is Germeringer See, a bathing lake with a very well-run kiosk. At the end of the route, the coffee house invites you to visit.
Back to the Roofs takes you to the Olympic Park's most impressive attractions at dizzying heights. You will get to know the spectacular architecture of the roof up close.
HOW CAN YOU EXPERIENCE A CITY MORE INTENSELY THAN ON FOOT?
Those who want to discover the diversity of Munich on foot should embark on the first urban long-distance hiking trail – the Munich Trail. Hike 113 kilometers in 10 exciting daily stages through Munich. The stages of the trail lead from the Isar on the southern city outskirts, through downtown neighborhoods to more remote districts such as Feldmoching, Obermenzing, or Harlaching. The 10 different stages, each 9 to 14 kilometers long, each have a specific theme and reflect the diversity and the distinct character of the neighborhoods.
Gutshof/Biergarten Menterschwaig geschlossen (Umbau).
