Arriving at the junction we decided to climb towards the pou de glaç and the torrota, descending by a more direct path. We did it this way for the group, although there is an alternative route somewhat more advisable to avoid the climb to the pou de glaç from there which is nothing more than a slightly steeper path than from the other side.

An Unusual Approach to the Highest Peak of theNature Park The highest point of the Sant Llorenç del Munt Nature Park is crowned by the Romanesque monastery of the same name. Today, it houses a restaurant. We avoid the usual hiking trail from Matadepera and approach the mountain via a secluded ridge hike through beautiful forests along the Carena del Pagès, offering sweeping views of the mountain formations and deeply carved rock gorges. Perhaps we’ll encounter the donkeys at the top that haul up food for the restaurant.
