Today we walk the spectacular route around the Ohrastausee and enjoy the view of the large Ohratalsperre. Along the way, we repeatedly have the opportunity to take great photos of the reservoir. On weekdays, we only encounter a few hikers and cyclists.

This route goes all around. Around the town once. There's quite a bit of climbing and descending and hiking high above Luisenthal through the forest. You see the Ohratalsperre from above and also pass by the dam at the bottom.

A very beautiful circular hike around the Ohratalsperre, built between 1960 and 1966. The hiking trails are partly paved and partly covered with gravel. Family-, dog-, and stroller-friendly route.

It's worth hiking the trails again after a few years! New impressions, perspectives and nature constantly change the area and yes, humans too. Views that were not possible for years are now possible, everything is in flux. 😉 The circular hiking trail offers many beautiful views of the reservoir and the forests. 🔝
