Not long ago, the Limmattalbahn was put into operation. For me, this was the reason to walk along the entire railway line, first following the tram line 2 and then along the Limmattalbahn line 20 from Zürich Bellevue to Killwangen.

The hike began at the Zurich Irchel veterinary hospital. From there it went past Irchel University. Then in the direction of Irchelpark, Bucheggplatz, Käferberg, ETHZ Hönggerberg, Hönggerberg, Gubrist, Weiningen, Hasleren, Geroldswil, Äschbrig, Bick to Killwangen. This is a great hike - not without difficulty and right on the doorstep.
