The 10 most beautiful hikes at Irrsee
How long does it take to hike around the Irrsee?
The hike around the Irrsee is 14 kilometres long, but has only a few metres of ascent. It takes about 3.5 hours at a leisurely pace. From the northern shore, you walk along the western shore on a road with little traffic to the southern end, where the small public lido invites you to take a dip in the lake. The further walk along the eastern shore is not quite as idyllic because of the road, but it is a good idea to make a small turn so as not to walk directly along the road.
The Irrsee loop is also suitable for cycling or running. You should always take your bathing suit with you. There are also several opportunities to stop for a bite to eat, for example in Zell am Moos, which makes the hike around the Irrsee ideal for an excursion with the whole family.
