Die Route beginnt an der Abzweigung der B270 zur K59 Richtung Krickenbach. Dort ist ein großer Parkplatz. Von dort aus führt der (geteerte) Weg durch das schön angelegte Schweinstal. Normalerweise wäre der letzte Teil des Weges ein kleiner Trampelpfad, jedoch ist dieser durch den Schneebruch immer noch unpassierbar, so dass der letzte Teil der Wanderung leider an der Straße entlanführt (aber nur wenige hundert Meter).
