An der Polteichschänke (im Sommer lädt die Gaststätte mit angeschlossener Kegelbahn zum ersten verweilen ein) biegen wir rechts am und laufen auf dem Damm in Richtung Niedercrinitz. An der nächsten Straße angekommen geht es ein paar Schritte zurück nach Kirchberg, ca. 100m vor dem Ortsschild schwenken wir rechts in den Feldweg ein und laufen zum kleinen Filzteich. Am Ende des Damms folgen wir der dem gelben Wanderweg in Richtung Quarksteine. An der nächsten Straße biegen wir links ab in Richtung Talsperre, dort angeklagt folgen wir den Bachlauf in Richtung Quarksteine. Dort angelangt bieten zahlreiche Bänke die Gelegenheit zu einer Stärkung.
