Impressive Natural Bridge The goal of this hike is the impressive natural bridge Ponte di Veja. The path there is also worthwhile: very varied, it leads through graceful cultural landscapes, tiny hamlets, and mixed forests of beech, ash, and oak. Deep, gorge-like valleys with vertical rock walls must be crossed. And suddenly we are on the bridge. With a clear height of 30 m, a span of 50 m, a thickness of 9 m, and a width of 15 m, it appears stable, but from a geological perspective, it is one of the short-lived formations. Various tools and paintings from the Stone Age have been found in the caves beside the bridge. In every village, there are houses with traditional roofs made of stone slabs, and especially on the return route, the same slabs line the paths. Carlo Pedersoli, better known as Bud Spencer, lived in Erbezzo for a school year in 1944/45.
