    Sehr schöne, aussichtsreiche Wanderung. Wir haben die Wanderung in entgegengesetzter Richtung gemacht, ist in meinen Augen sinnvoller, da gegen Ende der Wanderung nur noch Abstiege auf dem Programm stehen und die Cabane de Fenestral - die zu einer aussichtsreichen Einkehr einlädt - nach gut 2/3 der Tour erreicht wird (und nicht schon nach dem ersten Aufstieg). Ausserdem ist entlang der Südflanke des Grand Chavalard die Aussicht auf die Grand Combin- und die Mont-Blanc-Gruppe immer im Blick.

    Für 18 CHF fährt man mit der Sesselbahn hoch und runter. Wir haben die Rundwanderung in der entgegengesetzten Richtung gemacht, also oben zuerst nach links. Der erste Teil war recht gemütlich, die Aussicht ganz okay, ein Teil entlang eines Hanges, ohne dass es gefährlich gewesen wäre. Es folgen ein paar hundert Meter auf einer unbefestigten Strasse bis zu einem Parkplatz. Der nächste Abschnitt ist ein bisschen beängstigend, da es neben dem Weg einfach steil gerade nach unten geht. Der Pfad ist zwar breit, mit Sicht auf die Städte und den Mont Blanc. Entlang eines Geröllhanges gelangt man schliesslich zum See und einigen Hütten. Ab hier folgt der Aufstieg zur neuen, sehr schönen Hütte auf 2400müM. Wir haben sogar einen Steinbock gesehen. Die Hütte hat Picknicktische (ohne Schirme) draussen, günstige Preise und einen netten Hüttenwart. Von hier aus geht es ziemlich steil nach unten, bis man auf einer Grasebene landet. Bitte beachten, dass die Sesselbahn um 17 Uhr schliesst!
