Catalonia's southernmost mountain - a box seat above the Ebro DeltaThe Serra de Montsià is one of those rugged, beautiful limestone mountains of the Mediterranean and the southernmost in Catalonia. Its highest point is only 764 m, but thanks to its open location, the mountain range is an excellent balcony over the Ebro Delta. The highlight of our hike is the ascent of the north-easternmost peak with the Foradada, a grandiose rock window in the limestone ridge of the Montsià, from which there are magnificent views down over the delta, where water and land merge in many ways.
