Long hike on clever ridge trailsTo the left of the Leine stretches the narrow ridge of the Külf, practically a row further west of the Duinger Berg. The suggestion to combine both in the context of an extensive circular tour is mainly aimed at experienced, enduring hikers. We use the charming routes along the ridge lines, which is naturally obvious on the Külf and sometimes proves to be quite rugged: almost a sneaky path. After a temporary valley section at Brunkensen, it is advisable to follow the well-marked Ith-Hils-Weg at the Duinger Berg – also here on mostly natural routes, which usually offer more "legroom" than on the Külf. After most of the tour took place under limited views in denser forests, towards the end we are rewarded with a highlight from the "Leinebergland Balcony" viewpoint.

Forecast for Eime

10-day forecast
The geographical location of Eime is characterised by rolling hills, wide fields and dense forests. The region is rich in natural beauty and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Although Eime itself is small, there are numerous opportunities for hiking in the surrounding area.

One of the most beautiful hiking routes in Eime runs along the Leinepark. This park stretches along the river Leine and offers a magnificent view of the water as well as varied vegetation with old trees and flowering meadows. The path is well marked and is suitable for both experienced hikers and families with children.

Another highlight are the hiking trails around the nearby Sackwaldsee. Here visitors can hike through dense forest or walk around the lake while enjoying the tranquillity of nature. The trail leads past small ponds, green meadows and a variety of bird species - perfect for nature lovers.

These hiking tours are especially recommended in spring or autumn, when the temperatures are pleasantly mild and nature is in full bloom. In spring, the meadows shine in bright colours, while in autumn the leaves of the trees form a picturesque backdrop.

For families with children, a visit to the Eimer Adventure Forest is also a good idea. Here children can climb, balance and swing on various courses - fun for young and old. The forest is well signposted and safely designed, so parents can let their little ones play without worrying.
