With mountain bike and hiking boots to a rewarding lookout pointIn the narrow Canal del Ferro (Kanaltal) lies the small village of Pietratagliata, about halfway between Pontebba and Dogna at the mouth of the Rio Gelovitz into the Fella (Fiume Fella). From here, a road built by the Italians during the First World War leads into the area of the former front. It is paved up to the Malga Poccet (Poccet Alm) and, due to the moderate incline, is well suited for mountain biking. From the Alm, you can reach Monte Schenone in less than 2 hours, with a beautiful view of the wild, rugged west flank of the Jôf di Montasio (Montasch).
