Beautiful, well-signposted circular route at altitude. After the ascent from the road (at about 1500 m) to about 2100 m, there are only a few more vertical meters to overcome, allowing for relaxed hiking partly along the ridge. We completed the route briskly with numerous stops for photos (there are wonderful views!) and two breaks in a total of six hours. Encounters with marmots are certain. We were also lucky to meet a family of ibex and many sheep. There are numerous springs along the path. Those who do not want to continue past the Laghi Ponteranica over the Triomen Pass partly through scree (at about 2200 m) can turn back, walk a short distance around the Triomen, then follow the "Sentiero Italia (101)" westwards and rejoin our route south-west of the Triom peak (detour approx. 1 km).
Excursion in the upper Val Brembana starting and ending from the Piani dell'Avaro. A route to discover the Ponteranica lakes and climb the little trafficked Monte Salmurano, where on clear days it is possible to see the Swiss alpine glaciers and the mountains of the upper Valtellina.
From Cusio (loc. Sciocc) to Benigni and the Western Piazzotti Peak (Cima Valpianella) with a double crossing of the narrow gully and detour to Rifugio Salmurano. Linear round trip route with panoramic variants.
