"Balcony path" with magnificent views of the lake and the mountains of the Varesotto Anyone arriving in Intra by ferry can already see the imposing backdrop of the mountain range from the lake, which rises to the north-west of the town and culminates in Monte Zeda, 2156 m above sea level. The southern slopes are populated up to around 800 m. At higher altitudes, where our tour runs, there are only mountain chapels and dilapidated mountain huts.
