    Wir haben die Wanderung in umgekehrter Richtung gemacht und sind noch bis zum Gasthof Longfall gelaufen. Man ist fast nur im Wald unterwegs, genau richtig für heiße Tage.

    Sehr schöner naturbelassener Waal; die Wege verlaufen viel im Wald, was für mich die Tour noch schöner gestaltet hat. Bei der Laufrichtung muss man selbst entscheiden, ob man lieber mehr Asphaltweg bergab oder bergauf geht. Geht man gegen den Uhrzeigersinn beginnt man mit dem Kuenser Waal, zu dem man aber ein ganzes Stück länger auf Asphalt bergauf gehen muss. Außerdem läuft man dann gegen die Flussrichtung des Waals. Eingekehrt sind wir im Berggasthof Longfall, was wir nur empfehlen können. Ehrliche südtiroler Hausmannkost, wie Hammel oder Rindergulasch, haben uns geschmacklich begeistert.

    Der Weg vom Tiroler Kreuz bis Longfall verläuft recht eintönig über einen breiten Forstweg. Die restliche Strecke ist sehr schön. Die Runde sollte man in jedem Fall im Uhrzeigersinn machen, da der Anstieg von der Kuenser Seite aus sehr steil ist und über sonnenbeschienene, asphaltierte Sträßchen verläuft.

    Toller Waalweg, sehr lohnenswert! Allerdings ist der Aufstieg von Dorf Tirol häufig der Sonne ausgesetzt, kann anstrengend werden, auf Temperaturen achten. Bei einem Aufenthalt in Longfall auf Sonnenschein achten ( im Oktober bis ca. 14.00/15.00 Uhr, kann ansonsten im Freien etwas kühl werden.

    wunderschöne, kurzweilige Tour. Die 1,7 km entlang des Waals waren genial. Der Abstieg auf dem geschotterten Weg war hingegen langweilig. Nächstes mal würde ich mich abwärts nochmal für den Waal-Weg entscheiden - weil er einfach nur schön ist... Die Wiese oben soll/darf man nicht betreten. Eigentlich schade, aber auch wieder verständlich

    Tag 1: Dorf Tirol - Leiteralm Zuerst ging es mit der Hochmutbahn von Dorf Tirol (680hm) auf die Hochmut (1340hm). Nach knapp 1h hatten wir uns warmgelaufen und das erste Etappenziel - die Leiteralm (1522) - erreicht. Detail: 2,2 km, 318+hm, 155-hm Tag 2: Leiteralm - Zeppichl Am frühen Morgen ging es gut gestärkt von der Leiteralm los. Das erste Ziel war die Taufenscharte, welche mit 2220hm schon mal ein ganz ordentlicher Anstieg war. Weiter ging es über die Oberkaser-Hütte (2131hm), wo wir eine kurze Mittagspause eingelegt haben. Anschließend ging es hoch auf die Spronser Seen zum Spronsoer-Joch (2581hm). Der Abstieg war dann nochmal richtig abenteuerlich, da wir zahlreiche z. T. sehr große Schneefelder queren mussten bevor wir das Falschnaltal erreichen konnten, über welches wir wieder hinab ins Tal und zu unserem Etappenziel - Gasthof Zeppichl (1685hm) - wanderten. Detail: 16,6 km, 1435+hm, 1275-hm Tag 3: Zeppichl - Krusterhof Kurz und knapp. Es war weit und die Füße taten höllisch weh. Vermutlich die anstrengenste aber Tour die ich bisher gemacht habe. Detail: 18,9 km, 593 +hm, 1221-hm Tag 4: Krusterhof - Dorf Tirol Landschaftlich war das eine der schönsten Abschnitte. Wir hatten die ganze Zeit einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf das Passaiertal.
