Once again, I went to the Westerwald, this time (see route 75) I followed the Geo route from Nauort down into the Brexbach valley via Caan to the Caaner Schweiz and then mostly through open terrain (fields) back to the starting point.Summary: The first half is generally more enjoyable, while in the second half, with few exceptions, only the section "Caaner Schweiz" is very nice.. in between, mostly asphalt, wider forest logging roads or open field paths without highlights!

Since I also wanted to hike in this area once, this time I followed the track of "Claus Bauer - Full-day circular hike around Isenburg on June 27, 2024" in the opposite direction "blindly" (without a detailed description) and did not regret it!Past Sayn Castle, on narrow paths by the scout memorial and the execution site of the (allegedly) deserter soldier (cross + memorial plaque) into the Brexbach valley on the "Nirwanatrail", briefly over open fields and then down again towards Isenburg. From there, with a view of the ruin, back towards Bendorf (here you feel more like you are at the motorcycle racing track in Spa/Belgium in good weather due to the noise).  After a last, really challenging descent (!!!), you walk briefly along this mentioned country road until you can finally leave it and then stroll more comfortably towards the starting point.

Sehr abwechslungsreiche Tour, landschaftlich sehr reizvoll.
