This beautiful circular route starts in Obernhof, the last wine-growing town on the Lahn. Surrounded by vineyards, in the middle of a green paradise, Obernhof alone is worth a hike due to its wonderful location. Magnificent panoramic views over the heights of Westerwald and Taunus. Great views into the Lahn valley. Quiet meadow landscapes on the heights, views of medieval castles.

Magnificent circular tour over the Lahn heights. Light to strenuous climbs are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views. On this tour, we hike through Obernhof, the last wine-growing village on the Lahn. Surrounded by vineyards, in the middle of a green paradise, Obernhof alone is worth a challenging hike just because of its beautiful location. Through splendid vineyards and up to the Goethe point with beautiful all-around views. Still wonderful long-distance views of the heights of Westerwald and Taunus, and to the east  you can see the towers of Schaumburg Castle near Balduinstein.

Today we hike this beautiful circular trail near Nassau on the Lahn. The monastery path was formerly a connecting route between the Arnstein monks' monastery and the Brunnenburg nuns' monastery. We start at the hiking parking lot and head towards Seelbach. Via Bremberg, we go parallel to the Lahn back to the starting point. About 380 meters of elevation have to be overcome. However, these are no problem over 14 km of hiking trail. Along the way, we pass the ruins of the Brunnenburg monastery.
