Alpine round tour over the western low mountain rangeThe forested shady side of the Inn valley is dotted with small alpine clearings. Where snack stations are operated here – as in the case of the Götzner and Birgitzer Alm – they are very popular destinations for the leisurely hiking crowd. Cheese is still traditionally made on the Götzner Alm. Enjoy your meal ...

The start is the parking lot at the Gasthof Adelshof. Through the forest (and not the driving route) it goes up to the Birgitzer Alm. A small detour further up towards Birgitzköpfle to the viewpoint overlooking the valley. Then back down and behind the hut, past the small chapel, down to the ski area Axamer Lizum. From there, you can also return to the starting point along the Axamer Bach. This was not done here, as it was a guided hike with bus transfer to the start or end point.

Culinary High Trail around the SaileAround the Saile, which juts out in the far northeast of the Stubai Alps (known as Nockspitze in Innsbruck), there are various alpine pastures nicely scattered that can be visited one after another on a great continuous circular hike. Along the way, you are always traveling at mid-altitude and catch views from various angles such as the middle Inn Valley, the Wipptal and Stubai Valley in their lower areas, as well as the Axamer Lizum. Variety is guaranteed, which also applies to the dining options: with Mutterer, Kreither and Pfarrachalm, Birgitzköpflhaus, Birgitzer and Götzner Alm, there are half a dozen!
