Take the time to watch the birds at the Sainte-Lucie Regional Nature Reserve. The Coast of Midi will surprise you with experiences to live. Here are a few words also about the new Corbières-Fenouillèdes Regional Natural Park ! During your hikes, you can also enjoy the multitude of natural sites this territory offers.
The Corbières Massif with its impressive peaks and natural sites: the Gorges of Galamus or Terminet, as well as its emblematic Pic de Bugarach, which beyond its mysteries and legends offers an exceptional hike. The Corbières-Fenouillèdes Regional Natural Park is crossed by the mythical Cathar Trail (GR®367) and the GR®36.
This Regional Natural Park also concentrates the most emblematic sites of Cathar history : the castles of Puilaurens, Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Termes, and Aguilar, which became royal fortresses and are part of a UNESCO World Heritage nomination process.
The department is also home to numerous limestone caves formed by water passage. Natural jewels to discover without exception!

- GR®367: The Cathar Trail from the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea to the balcony of the Pyrenees. It will take you to the famous "Citadels of vertigo"!
- GR®78: The Pyrenean piedmont path allows you to discover the rich heritage of the Pyrenees by traversing magnificent mountain landscapes, from Carcassonne to St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, passing through Lourdes.
