From the Arnsdorf baroque church to the princely Elbe valley viewThe lofty Belvedere high above the Elbe valley and the deep údolí Suché Kamenice gorge are undoubtedly the main attractions of this medium-length hike. Even Prince Clary-Aldringen was impressed by the view from a height of 130 m and had a viewing terrace with a small chapel-like grotto built here at the beginning of the 18th century. Parties were celebrated and there were theater performances. Later, this wonderful place attracted more and more tourists. To this day, visitors are catered for in the nearby inn. The aristocratic family could walk along a straight avenue from their former summer residence at Binsdorf Castle in today's Bynovec to the princely viewing balcony. This historic path is part of our leisurely hike across the plateau near Arnoltice (Arnsdorf).

From its confluence with the Elbe, the impressive Dürrkamnitz Gorge leads up to the scenic Zappenland Plateau, where the Belvedere at Labská Straň offers a spectacular view down into the Elbe Valley.> At the parking lot (Dürrkamnitz Estuary) in Ústí Suché Kamenice 01, European Long-Distance Hiking Trail 3 leaves the Elbe Valley and enters the Dürrkamnitz Gorge (Údolí Suché Kamenice). The stream bears the suffix “Dürr” because it periodically dries up and only rushes through the gorge in roaring torrents after heavy rainfall. The whirlpools at the gorge’s exit demonstrate just how powerfully the water can flow. The lower section of the gorge became a popular destination during the Romantic era following the construction of the “Ziegenmühle” in 1793. At the foot of bizarre rock faces, the trail follows the stream upstream; there are numerous carvings in the sandstone, from which a bench was even carved to mark the 60th throne anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph I. At the Suchá Kameníce junction (02 ), the E3 leaves the valley and leads uphill to the mountain village of Labská Straň ( 03 ) (Elbleiten) on the Binsdorf Plateau—known as the “Zappenland”—and to the inn at the Belvedér 04 viewpoint overlooking the Elbe. Completed in 1711, the Belvedere is the oldest man-made viewpoint in Bohemian Switzerland, designed as a terrace with a grotto; an avenue led straight from what was then Binsdorf Castle to the Belvedere. The long-distance hiking trail follows the straight Knížecí cesta path southeast through the forest, and when it branches off to the right, we continue straight ahead on Knížecí cesta for a few more minutes until, at the edge of the forest, the path branches off to the left into the church and half-timbered village of Arnoltice 05. Arnsdorf lies on the upper reaches of the Dürrkamnitz River, into whose valley the blue-marked hiking trail descends; on the outskirts of town, above the valley entrance, stands a Dutch windmill from 1830 that has been converted into a residence. At the foot of the Arnoltice Cliffs (Arnoltické stěny), the trail leads through the gorge and rejoins the E3 at the Suchá Kameníce junction 02. Following the well-known route through the lower gorge, the trail returns to the starting point, the parking lot at the mouth of the Dürrkamnitz (Ústí Suché Kamenice 01).
