After crossing the state road, we follow the signs to Stroblalm along the meadow path by the road to the Högl. Then continue on a small road towards the TV tower and at the second opportunity follow the signs turning right and soon reach the Neuchbichler Alm. Over the Kleinhögl towards Jechling and via the Jechlinger Panoramaweg back to Anger to the starting point.

Forecast for Anger

10-day forecast
One of the most popular hiking tours in Anger leads to Höglwörther See. This route begins on the outskirts of Anger and winds its way through dense forests and green meadows to the sparkling lake. The trail is well signposted and is suitable for both experienced hikers and families with children. On the way, there are always breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscape.

Another highlight are the circular trails around the district of Aufham. Here you can hike along the river Saalach or make a detour to the Plainburg castle ruins. The trails are well maintained and offer both easy walks and more challenging sections.

The Panorama Trail from the Predigtstuhl near Bad Reichenhall to Karlstein near Piding is also particularly charming. This trail leads along narrow paths along steep rock faces and offers spectacular views of the Alpine panorama as well as the Salzburg basin.

The best seasons for hiking in Anger are spring, summer and autumn. During these months the temperatures are pleasant and nature shines in its full splendour. In spring, numerous wildflowers bloom, in summer you can enjoy the warm rays of the sun and in autumn the leaves of the trees turn into a colourful play of colours.

For families with children there are special hiking trails that are designed to be suitable for children and offer various stations to discover. One example is the Fairy Tale Trail at Höglwörther See, where little adventurers can go on an exciting journey through well-known fairy tales.

Whether you prefer hiking along rivers or climbing steep peaks - everyone will find their perfect route here.
