Café Eggerl in Lichtenegg not only impresses with its cozy atmosphere, good coffee and friendly service, but also with its specialty - Eggerl bread.
The name "Eggerl" comes from the suffix "-egg" in the village name.
The café, centrally located, also offers hearty breakfasts (only if ordered in advance) and is the ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby, the imposing windmill with viewing platform and the charming Mandl goat farm are attractive excursion destinations. Hikes and cycle tours can also be started from here.
The reopening in December 2023 not only brought a breath of fresh air, but also a new coat of paint that makes Café Eggerl shine in new splendor. A place that not only promises culinary delights, but also serves as a starting point for local discoveries.
