Our vineyards have been in the domain of Simčič family for many generations, which all cared for their well-being. Simčič family has started its winegrowing history in the 19th century. We are the fifth generation, which deals with viticulture and with other related activities. We believe in our wines, because we believe in our grapes. Simčič wines are produced from grapes that are cultivated in our own vineyards located in the very heart of Goriška brda.
The family owns 18 hectares of vineyards, some older than 55 years, both on the Slovenian and on the Italian side of the Brda region (Collio). As our tradition dictates, we grow the vines in a way that lowers the burden on them and allows their grapes to mature to their fullest, which produces a balanced aroma and a richer taste.
If you think of the vineyard as a body, then our cellar is the heart of Marjan Simčič's farm. We produce 90,000 bottles of wine per year, divided in three different lines. We offer fresh classic wines (as we call them), a line Selection from specially selected best grapes of older vineyards and the most prestigious line of Opoka wines that represents the best of the best (only in exceptional years, in extremely small batches, matured from 20 to 36 months, only in wooden barrels, without filtration, only by decantation).

Whereever you come from, you will be welcomed in the heart of Goriška brda and Collio, where quality has no borders. Half of our vineyards lay in Slovenia and half in Italy. We are an hour and a half from Ljubljana and two hours from Venice by car.Coordinates
