Deutschlands größter Marktplatz, von einzigartigen Arkaden umsäumt, lädt zum Bummeln und Flanieren ein. Zahlreiche Geschäfte, Cafés und Restaurants sorgen für allerlei Abwechslung z.B. nach einem Besuch der einzigartigen Stadtkirche in Winkelhakenform. Die umlaufenden Arkaden, die mit Blumen geschmückten Bürgerhäuser, die zahlreichen Brunnen und die Wasserspiele mit 50 Fontänen geben dem Platz ein südländisches Flair.
