Ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel ist das Bärenschlössle im Christophstal, der Wiege Freudenstadts, mit angrenzendem Wildgehege. 1627 von Peter Stein als Alterssitz errichtet, beherbergt es heute ein Café-Restaurant mit großer Terrasse (dienstags Ruhetag), Tel. 07441-7850. Sehenswert ist die Renaissancefassade mit dem hoch aufragenden Staffelgiebel.
